An excellent team to boost the EU position in biofabrication

The consortium incorporates experts in the fields of tissue engineering, biomaterials, 3D printing, standardisation and bioethics, and includes world market leaders in additive manufacturing such as Lithoz and Stratasys, and four different University Hospitals, two of them among the largest in Europe (Charité Universitatsmedizin Berlin and Vienna General Hospital).

Head of Pillar, Engineering Product Development at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. He is both the world's most published and most cited scientist in Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing, according to “Web of Science”.

Expert in biomaterials research, especially biofabrication. He holds the chair for Functional Materials in Medicine and Dentistry at University Hospital Würzburg (UKW).

Prof. Arti Ahluwalia

Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Pisa and director of the Research Center "Enrico Piaggio". She coordinated the Horizon 2020 UBORA project which has led to the creation of the UBORA e-platform for collaborative and safe biomedical device design.

Senior physician at the University Medicine Rostock - Clinic of Orthopedics, Germany. He is a board-certified specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery.

Associate Professor of Innovation Management at the Department of Strategy and Innovation (SI) at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and Scientific Director of the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft - Open Innovation in Science Center.

Professor in biofabrication for Regenerative Medicine at Maastricht University (NL), and active in commercial and clinical translation of research ideas and projects.

Lead Auditor for AM specific quality management (ISO/ASTM 52920) in all industry sectors and Medical Expert for Additive Manufacturing at TÜV SÜD. Lead of the working group “Approval” in the mga medical network.
